Stages for a web site is a little more complicated than printing. But I will focus on some of the basic stages.

Your web design includes...

  • Consultations
  • Original mock-ups
  • Multiple rounds of revisions
  • Page Development

  • First, we meet in person on over the phone (web site form) about your overall links and create a map of your entire site. This is most important because when a design is established it’s often difficult to go back and change it. I will consult with you as to what may work best for your site and how we can get you ranked in the search engines under your keywords. Your URL and hosting will be discussed.
  • A 1st proposal of your overall design template will be approved by you. The menus, links, content, graphics, photos and colors will be discussed and considered. This is a rough draft that is not browser friendly (JPEG fomat). This phase is where you make all you changes before it goes to HTML because it's difficult to change the graphics.
  • Then I (we) will begin the design and development process. During this phase your will be asked to provide all content and images that is necessary to complete your job. If you don’t have nice images we offer stock photos at a very reasonable price. During this process your domain name and hosting plan will be setup along with an email address.
  • A link will be sent to you of the working site (front page only). Depending what your specifications were, there may be modifications. But an approval will be needed to move ahead.
  • When your site is completed, I will make it ready for the GREAT launch. I will also teach (by email and phone) you how to do it yourself.

This whole process may take about a month, depending on workload and the gathering of information.

A flash animation header can also be discussed during our meeting. Though, flash is nice to have, search engines can’t interpret the information, so I’d like to keep any animation to a minimum. What’s a nice site, if people can't find it.
