Prepress knowledge is important! PDF Print

I have been in the field of graphic arts for many years, done everything from print to electronic to interior design to business cards. In some sense, all design skills are related to each other.

Anyway, before you begin your project make certain of what type of printing you want and how many you are reproducing. If you are working on a large project, choose a designer that knows prepress and has experienced it. This is because prepress knowledge will save you a lot of money in the long run. There are many ways to save and still get your message out successfully. Research the web to find out the terminology in this field so you can get familiar with the lingo. Sounds like another language at fist, but you'll get used to it. Same with the web. Know what CMYK means so you don't give your printer RGB files that they need to change. That may cost you. Also know the line screen and resolution.

Overall, there are many different print solutions that you may be unfamiliar with, if you need any help please send me an email.
